Aqueous Film Forming Foam or AFFF is the common name for mist fire-fighting foams on the market today. These water-based foams extinguish fires by forming an air-tight film that cuts the fire off from its oxygen supply. Simply put: no oxygen, no fire.

AFFF systems are custom engineered and offer a variety of applications. Anything from large scale flooding systems (see picture below) to smaller hose-based applications can easily be constructed. AFFF’s characteristics make it the preferred fire protection system for any area where flammable liquids are stored. For instance:

  • Fuel Tanks
  • Chemical processing plants
  • Aircraft hangars

We offer ANSUL foam products for all of our AFFF projects.
